Scrapping old GP´s in Brazil
Author: pedrop

Hi, in the last days Rumo railroad started to scrap old locomotives out of service, including the only GP´s found in Brazil: Gp9 and GP18´s.
I received these pics from firends. One GP18 is in operational condition, but all the GP9 are gone. Sad news.

4 -6: sad views. If I could I would like to save the builder´s plates and number boards. The location is not far from where I use to go while visiting my boy in the Air Force academy, but with the lockdown here these days,  we can travel to other states for while.

Not a pretty picture, Pedro... but interesting.  Life in a fast-moving world.

Looking at the builder plates, they look to be American or Canadian heritage!
