Big and Not so Small (South Africa)

SAR 2 ft gauge Garratt with 3 ft 6" gauge GE SG10B.   Port Shepstone shed,  6/8/84.  A couple of those Garratts now operate in Wales.  There is also a privately-owned one in Texas,  not sure if it's operable these days.

We had a charter out of Port Shepstone in 2005. Nothing left of anything now indicating the narrow gauge was ever there.

There are four NGG16 Garratts on the Welsh Highland and an NGG13 on the Vale of Rheidol, NGG16 no.87 has been been restored in SAR livery, here it is climbing out of Beddgelert in September 2020.
