Magnesite train C558 (Brazil)
Author: pedrop

Hi, the winter is coming here in town.  Today is cold with a dark sky, but no rains. Our winter usually is very dry and with many fires in the fields everywhere.  I visited EVP yard in the afternoon to get pics of the daily magnesite train class 58 that comes from Bahia state.  It is a small train leaded by GE U20C's, but the trip is long; more than 900 km.

1) Waiting for the train near the North gate of Soicon / Liz Cement Co;
2) TR57 rails and tirefonds from the 1970's;
3) C558 is arriving.

4) At the crossing level. The engineer should be a friend because he uses the horn to greet me;
5) Units 2511 and 2532;
6) GFD class covered hoppers.

14) The video.  Sorry for the zoom mistake while the train was approaching.  I think the cell phone screen was dirty.  If I cut that part of the video I could lose the horn of the units.
it's all for now.  Enjoy .

Nice series Pedro! I like the Magnesite Train with it's hoppers. I also like the Vespasiano Station and fallen flag locomotive.

Pedro, the business on the left with a track siding having a fence gate on it:   Does it ever receive any railroad cars?  What kind of business is or was it?

That is Liz cement factory. They have its own fleet of tank cars for cement, but it also receives box cars, gondolas and hoppers for coal, slag and cement in bags.
