Vespasiano reporting (Brazil)
Author: pedrop

Hi, the weather here in my area is very dry and hot as usual in Spring.  Not a drop of rain in the last 60 days, temperature reaching 38C and moisture below 40. Not a good weather to railfaning around, but since EVP yard is in downtown, I can get some pictures almost daily. Here are some from the last four days.

1 - 3)  On Friday 17, I found limestone train C604 parked at mainline waiting a call to go ahead. This train uses have containers with limestone rocks and ore cars with limestone powder.

Nice look at your backyard trains Pedro. Hope you get some rain soon and cooler weather. What is that big facility in the background in #4? Do they make cement or limestone?

Larry, that is a cement factory. In my area we have many of them since we have a lot of limestone formation nearby.

Hi, here it is common.  They can be covered with canvas if necessary. These container are very versatile for big cargos like the out off road truck tires common seen here too. These containers with tires comes from somewhere in US.
22 - 23) Out off road truck tires on MRS trains.

No, it is a end of track #3. There was a turntanle about 60 km from here, but it was demolished in end of 1990's.

Many years ago I was a tire changer in a Sears Automotive store in California. I'm happy to never have had to change one of those huge tires.
