DI you know what the heritage is of EMD 8123?  And 6501? 

are the GEs also originally US locomotives?

My friend JB Setti is a famous railroad mechanic engineer and railroad historian. He have doing a great cataloguing job of locomotives that run in Brazil in all times. He had a friend into Progress Rail plant that used to sent him the original road numbers of all second hand units that arrived here for leasing. Unfortunately, his friend retired years ago and he could not find another guy to give him the updated data about the units imported by PR. So, we do not have the heritage of many of these units in 81 and 65 series. 
The picture below is a print screen of one of the data sheet about the Ex US Diesels imported by Brazilian railroads that I edited from JB Setti files.
