Vitoria a Minas - Brazil cab unit
Author: masterphots

Here´s a view of GMD Canada B12 #529.  Serial number A486 built in 1953.  One of nine that entered service in December 1953.   Photo at Porto Alegre in 11-23-68.   Photographer unknown
A very late edit:   The nine B12s were sold to the RFFSA in 1968;  this photo was taken shortly after the 529 had arrived and before it was repainted into the RFFSA red/yellow.  These units were based in Porto Allegre for years.

Boy, the Rumo paint scheme sure introduced some strange angles, especially the nose presentation.

The original scheme that Alan posted is quite attractive for that model.  'Nothing stays the same, though, it seems.

According to the book about EFVM diesels by Coelho/Setti   No. 4098 was originally No. 528.  Book also says No. 521 is preserved at Tubarao SC,  which was the base of the fabled Dona Christina coal-hauling steam operation,  featuring US-built 2-10-4s,  among other steam engines.
