Progress demonstrator 8666 has been shipped to the USA, it was built in Brazil several years ago. The GT46AC swas spotted in Houston, Texas, USA -- apparently it has been there for about a month.

Unit 8666 is a GT46ACe. Very interesting she is back to US. It was built in US and arrived here as EMDX 4302 in 2014. I think it was tested in Chile after leave Brazil years ago. 
1) Pictures taken here in town in 2015,
2) The unit at EPM yard in 2014 with original number 4302. 4301 was tested in Chile. I do not know if 4302 was tested there first before come to Brazil.

Only 4301 came to Chile.  In June 2013  Ferronor took delivery of six new GT46ACs (EMD Indiana) for their iron ore line.  In addition to the six, Brazilian demo 4301 was included,  as compensation for late delivery of the new units. It was to be shipped to Brazil after a period of time,  but within a year, Ferronor bought it.  As far as I know,  it is still in the EMD colors and number.   Photo below at Maranon siding a few miles north of Vallenar,  Chile  8/26/18

Looks like it is air-conditioned.

Most all road units in Chile now have A/C.   Fepasa, FCAB and FN  all have new units with it;  and Fepasa has retrofitted all their EMD SDs.
