the word is russians are going to blow up some of their own stuff where they are allready occupying  areas to get it rockin, missles to cuba and venezula next?

Please not the dates that Mr. Putin invaded Crimea and took it for his own. Then note the four years where nothing further happened. And now this. Coincidence?  Fear? When we visited the excellent railway  museum at St. Petersburg's Warsaw station in 2016 we saw a Soviet nuclear missile launcher on display. Scary.  The current situation is complicated. Most Ukrainians hate Putin and all he stands for. Yet many have relatives in Russia and almost all speak Russian....many as their  daily language. Still that does not give anyone the right to invade a sovereign country and keep it for their own. 

So a couple fuzzy images of something taken sometime near Ulan-Ude almost halfway around the world from Ukraine and FOR SURE whatever it is is on it's way to Ukraine. 

Naushki is known for several large military instillation's. It's also located on the Trans-Mongolian branch of the Trans-Siberian railway. The station stops here are famous for their lenght, anywhere from a couple hours to four or more.

Putin seems to be stuck in the world from 70 years ago. Remember the Gorbachev era, the fall of the wall, and talk of Russia joining NATO?

As are many other world leaders and their nations;  meanwhile China is slowly but surely creeping up on all

Much of Ukraine, Crimea and parts of Russia and Poland were once Lithuania. So much for sovereign borders.

And most of northern Chile was Bolivia and Peru.  Then there was the War of the Pacific in the 1880s....oh, never mind

The southern boundaries of what is now Russia or contested territory like Georgia were Ottoman Empire for a while, too

Drumming up foreign threats has always been a good tool when your own economic system is in a state of peril

Yup,  SOP in Argentina when it's going through one of its periodic economic disasters,   talk turns to threats to reclaim Las Malvinas (aka Falkland Islands,  a British posession).
