Rattlesnakes on the tracks (Brazil)
Author: pedrop

Hi, it's Fall in Brazil and here in Southeast it means hot and dry season with a little cold at night. It is a perfec time to the snakes come out from the nests in search of food. They use to be found are on the tracks getting heat from the rails.  So railfans must pay attention when railfaning around. I imagine in California and Arizona should be the same. The difference is that we have other kind of snakes here, some really big.
This one was found today morning by a railfan in Perdões, MG while waiting for a limestone train.

Thanks, I learned something. It did not realize that rattlesnakes were in South America, too.

Nice rattlesnake shot! Stay safe from it's bite. We have rattlesnakes in the Ritzville surrounding area.
