Does the Swiss RRs run dedicated Mail trains ?
If not, what did I see between 00:30 and 01:00am on Friday morning?
 

Yes, the Swiss do run dedicated mail trains even on the meter gauge Rhaetischebahn.  There are dedicated postal containers that are painted bright yellow and will be identified as such in one of four lanquages, German, French, Italian, or Romansch.  In any language, some form of the word "post" will be prominent.  There used to be box cars and even an old recycled passenger car or two in postal service but I'm not sure if any of those are still in use.  I don't know what you may have seen. You didn't give a  location of your sighting or any other info.

Oops, sorry for the lack of info.
The trains I saw were in the Zurich, Switzerland yard, tomorrow morning 08-19-2022 just after midnight.
Unfortunately the web cam is not too sharp at night, no way to make out any lettering.
