Catastrophic Train Wreck in India

There has been a train wreck in India involving at least two passenger trains.  The loss of life is great.  According to the BBC, at least 207 deaths have been confirmed.  Here is the link to the BBC article:

Per the BBC, first passenger train rear ended a standing freight train then a second passenger train going in the opposite direction hit the wreckage at speed.

The NY Times has a similar chart of how the collisions may have unfolded.  As sidebar article notes that sugnal systems have not been updated as quickly as some would have expected.
