Empty grain J501 in EPL siding (Brazil)
Author: pedrop

Yesterday afternoon, I was in a city called Pedro Leopoldo, about 20 km from home. I was there to meet two railfan friends that are also employees of VLI and MRS railroads. We had good time talking about the railroad news and history. I received the news that VLI bought all Rumo / Brado BB40-9WM's, a total of 18 units that will be used on Vale EFVM tracks for VLI freight trains only.

1 - 3) On way to Pedro Leopoldo, I passed by Nova Granja yard (ENG) where VLI is doing some track improvements, like this 500 meters increasement to track #2.

5) A lot of limestone piled in ENG yard;

6) Attention: grade crossing 100m ahead.
