International Railroad Discussion > British HSTs to MexicoDate: 08/30/23 05:32 British HSTs to Mexico Author: 86235 Does anyone know anything definite about the HST power cars and passenger trailers that have been shipped to Mexico? Lots of rumours here that they are for Tren Maya in Yucatan, but I find that hard to believe as TM has taken delivery of its own new build rolling stock from Alstom. Are there any other passenger start ups in Mexico that want 50 year old trains?

Interesting. There's never been a coach-baggage configuration in HSTs. The GW Castle Class ones, those rebuilt with sliding doors in 2018-2020 have a bike section in one car, maybe that's what they'll class as coach/baggage?
