International Railroad Discussion > One Month Ago: Another Small Taste of Melbourne TramsDate: 01/17/24 10:58 One Month Ago: Another Small Taste of Melbourne Trams Author: NMlurker On Sunday I would make my fifth and final trip on the broad gauge regional routes, this time out to Bairnsdale (well east of Melbourne) and back. On a Sunday the service is slightly reduced so it was a three-car Vlocity DMU out to Bairnsdale, a bus (coach) from Bairnsdale to Sale (a little under an hour), and then a three-car Vlocity DMU back to Southern Cross. Once back in Melbourne I did take some time to photograph some tram action at the intersection of William Street and La Trobe Street.
