Tren Maya problems

A friend of mine (he's not a railfan) traveling in the Yucatan wanted and attempted to take Tren Maya but said he was put off by it's uncertainty and unreliability. He took the bus instead. Mexico is going to have to work harder to make Tren Maya a success. My friend sent this link to help explain some of the issues.
