International Railroad Discussion > Stormy Monday Nite PhotosDate: 02/05/24 07:49 Stormy Monday Nite Photos Author: Hiroshi This evening, the Kanto plane was struck by a winter storm.
This is the COFC train heading north as it approaches the JR East Sakuragicho station under the snowy sky. Hiroshi Date: 02/05/24 08:13 Re: Stormy Monday Nite Photos Author: TexasRocket Stormy photos always seem underappreciated. I do like the look in the evening as well. Any more pictures?

Upon arriving at the Basha-Michi station, I had the good fortune to board the Hoya bound express. The train was running twenty minutes behind schedule already. A little over eight hundred hours had passed. Additional passengers were on board when the train traveled through some cloud cover. We were meant to pass a local when we arrived at the Kikuna station. However, such was not the case tonite. The local was allowed by the dispatcher to continue its journey. I had no idea that this was just the start of the tale. These are the later photos I took. By now, it was getting a bit worse. Thank you for stopping by. The Express was still running twenty minutes late. At the Tamaga station, I could change from the Express to the local. Here is the local (left) I took while the southbound local (right) was at the station. Soon, another northbound showed up. Hiroshi Date: 02/06/24 02:25 Re: Stormy Monday Nite Photos Author: Hiroshi It was becoming worse and worse by nineteen hundred hours.
The disruption in the train schedule caused the crossing to be backed up in both directions. Hiroshi Date: 02/07/24 04:45 Re: Stormy Monday Nite Photos Author: Hiroshi The southbound local is the next to go; it halted short at the station before continuing on its way to Ebina.

Still, you can see some snow left.
