I have a feeling things are going to happen with rail in Mexico fairly quickly.

The President of Mexico publicly  requested railroads to support passenger transportation on their lines.  Most rail was gov't run when their passenger trains were eliminated too.  Be aware he will not be running for president again when his term expires.  I would imagine in the mean time CPKS has thrown this out to prevent further gov't demands on their line.  Time will tell.

I wish them well with passenger service in Mexico.  I will patronize it.  But I hope they don't include Amtrak anywhere in their thinking.  They are a lost cause at this time.
