VLI ordered more SD70ACe-BB (Brazil)

The CEO of VLI railroad announced today that the company put an order with EMD/Progress Rail of Brazil for eight SB70ACe-BB's, that will be delivered by 2025. Last year VLI put an order with Wabtech for twenty ES43BBi, that are being delivered this year.

The SD70ACE-bb's are some of my favorite locomotives. Great to hear more are on order. Did EFVM Ever order any of them?

Vale/EFVM tested the SD70ACe-BB demonstrators, but they didn't put an order on them. They said the GE's BB40-9W's are perfect for EFVM operations.
Interesting to say that in spite of EFVM is considered the best rr in Brazil, they do not have any AC power in their fleet.
