International Railroad Discussion > Canada (Calgary/Banff) - April 2024

Was in Canada for work - for ~12 days - and weather was not favorable for most of the visit - during my limited time-off - however as I always do, I "find" time to shoot.

1.  CP 9357, WB at Canmore on 02-Apr-2024 at sunset.
2.  CN 3144, NB at Crossfield on 06 Apr 2024.
3.  A little out-of-sequence - but trying to group my photos as best as I can - so here is CP 8056, WB at Field (crew change) on 08-Apr-2024.

4-6.  The trees obstruct any shot of a WB - and unfortunately I was skunked at sunrise for a EB - but Morant's Curve does not disappoint.    CP 9783, WB at Morant's Curve on 08-Apr-2024 at sunrise.

And, some straggler images of Canada.   Surprised me a bit with a storm cell one day - and the scenery though is just amazing!

Unfortunately I was skunked during the storms - as the winds exceeded 65kn and I am pretty certain everything was being held until the front passed - but it would have been an amazing catch had there been a trainset - as the clouds just changing.
Animal sign was funny (to me) - that pretty much any large animal is in the area.
And Dead Mans Flat - again would be amazing with a train - but still beautiful.

What a great place to visit even not sunny all the time.

Thank you all for the kind comments - - I will be back up in Canada in May - spending a couple of days in Fraser Canyon.....and will post the pics in the "Canadian" folder - vice International (I just noticed the Canadian folder....lol).

Appreciate the correction on Morant's curve (not Morton's....lol) - - I had the name right-in-front-of-me and still typed it incorrectly.

And, thank you TO for selecting one of my images as IOTD.
