Sterling Sigle in the news
Author: JimBaker

Quote friom a recent Microsoft BING spot on their home page....

Two Locomotives found in ocean.©(Image via Obsev.com) https://www.obsev.com/g/man-made-things-found-in-the-ocean/12/A train graveyard was discovered by archeologists off the coast of New Jersey. Among the underwater train graveyard were two extremely rare locomotives from the early 1850s. Archeologists were stunned by this discovery. There is no record of the two steam engines ever being built or lost. It is still a mystery of how the two locomotives were sunk though there are several different theories.

--- Is there any truth to this?/?        Thanks for any info you can provide.

I read several years ago about engines found in the Atlantic, early era, as noted, Speculations that they were built in Eastern USA, shipped by barge and lost overboard in rough seas.  Added this link:https://njmt.org/files/2022/01/SunkenLocoInfoArticles.pdf
Perhaps here on TO.
