Rail Ferry accident in New Zealand

Just got word that the only rail ferry between the two New Zealand islands went head on into the shore line yesterday.
 
Still afloat, all passengers rescued.  But a potential political embarrassment for the incoming government, it would seem.

Hi all, yes not a good time for the ferry's, as they are all over 20years old and the incoming government cancelled
there replacement ones which were due to start arriving next year. Out of 3 ferry's only 1 is working at this time and
2 out of the 3 have had breakdowns which could have been alot worse than this one which I heard had something
done to the fix this same problem a week or 2 of late.
