Canadian Pacific Kansas City of Mexico (CPKC of Mexico) reported that today, Wednesday, an accident occurred in the municipality of Tamasopo, San Luis Potosí, in which a truck belonging to a maintenance service provider for the company's tracks derailed and fell down a ravine. There were no trains involved.

Seven company workers died and five were injured.  The medical and Civil Protection services arrived at the scene of the accident to provide the corresponding care. 

CPKC of Mexico expressed its deep condolences to the family and friends of the people who lost their lives in this unfortunate accident.

For its part, the State Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) reported that the accident occurred on the railway tracks near the place known as Puente de Dios.
