15 years in prison for S African Rail official who faked CV

BBC article from earlier this month:

If he had a successful career,  who cares?  Sounds like a bit of politics here.  In my Wall St days,  we had a bond trader who had quite the CV,  mostly false.   In  ten years on the trading desk, he was always in the top five in production ( profits). so nothing was done.  He retired after 30 years,  still at the top.

Just a bit of difference between the qualifications of a civil engineer and a stock trader. People can die if the civil engineer get's it wrong...

There was a lot of corruption at PRASA when I worked there, but then there was a lot of corruption in South Africa. The company I worked for was involved in some of the corruption and fraud. I knew something was fishy but couldn't figure out what. Fortunately I left before it came to light.
