International Railroad Discussion > Railfaning with two famous US railfans (Brazil) - part 5Date: 10/26/24 18:28 Railfaning with two famous US railfans (Brazil) - part 5 Author: pedrop In this fifth part, we can watch the loaded limestone train C430 at the main crossing level in Perdões city. This train delayed many hours since the inspection cars found a broken rail in that crossing level, so they fixed it first and then openned the traffic to the loaded trains at night.
Note this train is using FRED in the last cars. VLI is testing the system in the Limestone Route. 1) The MoW gang finished to fix the broken rail about 6:00 PM and this was the first loaded train to pass there after a many hours without trains; 2) The train had three BB36-7 and a U20C in front, plus two BB36-7 in the middle. The U20C was taking a ride to be fueled in Bhering shops; 3) The video. That's all for today. Pedro. Posted from Android Pedro Rezende Vespasiano MG, Edited 4 time(s). Is that Conrail paint on the nose? Or, if not, do you know the heritage? Ted in OR (Always interested in seeing the US 2nd Generarion fleet repurposed onto B-B trucks in Brazil) Date: 10/29/24 15:57 Re: Railfaning with two famous US railfans (Brazil) - part 5 Author: pedrop Yes, it is. Unit 719 is former Conrail B36-7 5051. Unit 702 is former B36-7 5004 and 724 is former B36-7 5058.
