Railfan Technology > Anybody use a Plustek OpticFilm 7500i AI slide scanner?Date: 11/08/09 18:35 Anybody use a Plustek OpticFilm 7500i AI slide scanner? Author: highgreengraphics Has anybody tried the Plustek OpticFilm 7500i AI 35mm color slide and negative scanner? I had planned to fork out the bucks for a Nikon, then this unit is recommended to me by a computer whiz whose opinion I respect highly, and its price point is 1/2 to 1/3 the price of the Nikon. I had never heard of them before, but I guess they have been around for some time, and have done a lot of subcontracting for other manufacturers. Somebody out there must have one, how is it? --- --- - --- JLH

http://www.filmscanner.info/en/PlustekOpticFilm7500i.html It's really a good site for information. Plustek scanners were the recommended choice.

And thanks for the info on Plustek's, I did a search function and nothing showed up before I asked. Got some additional good reading, so thanks again. I am still wondering if anybody has one. Seems the slide/film carrier method, plus the one-at-a-time loading might be a problem, but you can't fault the price. --- --- - --- JLH
