Help with cleaning slides!
Author: Mautner

Hello all, not sure if this has been asked before.I have recently begun to scan some of my slide collection.I store all of the slides in Logan boxes, but some still have some small spots/dirt on them.My question is, what is a good way to clean up the slides before scanning them? Thanks for any help, Mike Mautner

Just as an additional data point to the information in the previous post that trainjunkie linked, I have used PEC-12 and PEC-PADs on all sorts of slides and negatives dating back into the 1960s with great results on hard to remove spots.

I second this motion, been using this for many years on slides to clean them with beautiful results. I too have cleaned some from back in the mid to late 60's and early 70's and the results have been incredible.
