Computer monitors
Author: biff

Looks like its time to replace my desktop computers monitor. Since I do some photo editing and a bit of video, is there anything I should look for? Cost will also be a consideration since I bought the wrong lotto ticket again.

You're going to get a thousand different opinions on this but these older threads might get you started.

Get a monitor (even a used one, to save $) that has S-IPS tech for much better contrast and color fidelity. The great majority of LCD screens use TN tech, which is a distant second place in how it performs with those two crucial attributes. The sole regret I had with this same trading-up is that I didn't do it years sooner!
