Ah! The Daily Wail - The UK's top spreader of alarm and despondency - usually regarding "health Scares" - the original "We're all doomed!" soothsayer of "journalism"(for want of a better word!)

I had a La Cie key drive go bad - plugged it into a macbook pro and it drew enough current to essentially brick the laptop. (shut it down and wouldn't restart) Had to remove the bottom cover, disconnect the battery and then hold down the power button to reset the PMU. All good now - and la cie sent a replacement. that one got tossed.
