I've heard of numerous "remote tech support" companies that exploit uninformed PC users, where they "hijack" your computer and offer to fix $solutions$ to your computer "problems" and milk you for many months. I don't think they are out to destroy everything, but you will be at their mercy, because of the knowledge gap.

The company seems to be only 3 months old, which in itself doesn't mean much. Their business address is a PO BOX inside a Postal Annex store, if that means anything to you.

I don't know what caused you to seek their services, and I don't want to know, but the biggest cause of PC problems (in my unscientific observation) is bad habits - participating in an e-mail group that exchanges attachments with vulnerabilities like Microsoft Office documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc), for example.
