Tried uploading images taken with iPhone 6 to TrainOrders with no luck! File extension type not compatible... :-(. New iOS 11 an issue?!?

I have seen so far today 2 other websites warning of IOS 11 compatibility issues.

It also break email sync with any Exchange server hosted on a Windows 2016 server.

It also breaks 180,000 apps in the AppStore that you may have on your device.

I have a couple of apps on my old iPad 2 that would not be compatible, but I can't upgrade to iOS 11 on that device anyway. Incompatibility issues also prevented me from continuing to use older versions of Topo USA and Street Atlas USA when I upgraded to Windows 8 and then 10.Of course, there's lots of map data available online now, so that software is sort of redundant.

Apple iOS 11 came with a new Photo/Video Format by default.  The fix is the following:

1. Settings
2. Scroll down to Camera
3. Go to Formats
4. Check Most Compatible
5. Close out Settings and Reload the Camera App.

That should fix the compatiblity issue.

Appreciate your suggestion. I didn’t find a format section in my iPhone 6 settings...continuing to search for a solution.

My 6 Plus doesn't have the Format setting either (on iOS 11).

Sorry, maybe it is just on the iPhone 7 with iOS 11.

Ya know, this is really frikin’ annoying. It was just a few months back that Apple finally updated their software in ios10 to the point that there was some compatibility with uploading iPhone images to the web. Now with the bump up to iOS 11 we end up going backwards. Bummer... what’s the point of having all this amazing digital technology if they aren’t even able to communicate with each other?

As a member of the IT community, I will not upgrade any OS until 6 months after the upgrade comes out. (Occasionally 2 months after the second major update to the upgrade, meaning maybe 2 months after 11.2.x).

To reinforce this, just look at the version history for 11.x
11.0.0 release 09/19/17
11.0.1 release 09/26/17
11.1 Beta 1 release 09/27/17
11.0.2 release 10/03/17

Expect 11.1 public release by the 4th week of October
Expect 11.2 public release by late December
Expect 11.3 public release by late March 2018.

Get the point?

I upgraded my IPhone (6S plus) last night. Now I find I can no longer listen to Railroadradio on ITunes. I use my phone 60% of the time while rail fanning using this website. Anyone else have this issue? My work around right now is Tunein.

The new problem is the following, TrainOrders only accepts the following Valid attachments: jpg, avi, dv, mov, qt, mpeg, mp4, m4v, 3gp, asf, wmv, flv.   With iOS11.0, the change was noted above for iPhone 7 Only.  With the new iOS11.0.2+, the files are now saved as *.jpeg which is not a Valid Attachment.  Either Apple has to fix it to save back as *.jpg or see if TO will test to allow *.jpegs to be uploaded.  I just now found out this out on my own site and is the same issue you may be seeing and I had to enable the *.jpeg extension and it seems to accept the file type.
