Railfan Technology > minimum upload speed to post videos

i have some videos i shot on my new canon vixia hf g40 but i can't upload them in the mp4 format. i can never get more than 1% during the upload process and that takes at least 3-5 minutes. here are my internet speeds:

-download speed is 23.66 mbps

-upload speed is 1.06 mbps

what is the minimum upload speed i would need to post videos?

Is mp4 one of the T.O. accepted formats ? I also tried to put a video on a couple weeks ago and it also stalled at 1%. I was just about to cancel and retry when it finished loading on to T.O. never showing more than 1%.

yes mp4 is an accepted formant.

approx. how long did u have to wait before the video was accepted?

After the TO "infrastructure upgrade," the upload % doesn't seem to sync correctly anymore. The upload still works as before, and the video playback seems to be much better than before.

I just look at the network activity (Windows Task Manager, or Mac OS X's Activity Monitor) and if there's steady network activity, then I know the upload is continuing, regardless if upload is stuck at 1 or 2%.

thanks again for your info biff. i just started the upload process and went on a bike ride. when i cam back, the video had uploaded. it just took a while......
