Passenger Trains > Both Phase VII repaints leading minutes apart Tunnel 29

Friday's (3/22) eastbound Amtrak trains descending the UP's Moffat line in Colorado both were led by the two new P42DC Phase VII repaints. Unusually showing up first, an on-time Amtrak No. 6 California Zephyr passed through Tunnel 19 first with the second repaint leading, 82, and shortly behind as the low sun was on the mountaintops was the Winter Park Express Ski Train, led by the first repaint, 174. Happy darn the snowdrifts were deep railfanning! === === = === JLH

That was a fun afternoon.  You had quite the adventure to get this shot and it turned out great.  San Francisco Zephyr?
