Steam & Excursion > Some more ATSF 2926 Pete Lerro ChartersDate: November 06, 2026 11:35AM Some more ATSF 2926 Pete Lerro Charters Author: frntinplate Most of the daytime photo runbys were around the Broadway siding, about 10 miles south of Albuquerque Amtrak station. We had to duck in and out of the main to allow passage of many RailRunner, Amtrak (on occasion) and BNSF moves.
As you can see, most runbys were well smoked. Various options were request, including "stack up" and "stack down" to add a bit of variety Date: November 06, 2026 11:42AM Re: Some more ATSF 2926 Pete Lerro Charters Author: frntinplate 1. Moving to the south (RR West) end of Broadway siding we were able to climb a bit up the I25 overpass abutment to get some shots.
2. Moving back north end to wait for the WB SW Chief, running about an hour late. 3. Now moved to the Isleta Siding for another smoke and whistle runpast. The group had to travel by charter bus to all locations on the Isleta Pueblo Reservation due to restrictions imposed by the Indian leadership. Date: November 06, 2026 11:45AM Re: Some more ATSF 2926 Pete Lerro Charters Author: frntinplate 1,2 Still on the Isleta Reservation, a runby with most folks up on the parallel highway embankment.
3. Back to Broadway Siding where we in the hole for a WB RailRunner on its way to Belen. Date: November 06, 2026 11:48AM Re: Some more ATSF 2926 Pete Lerro Charters Author: frntinplate 1. Moving a bit north (RR East) of Broadway siding offered a view of a short tresstle.
2.3. A late rainstorm created some standing water near the Broadway Siding. Date: November 06, 2026 11:50AM Re: Some more ATSF 2926 Pete Lerro Charters Author: frntinplate 1. The sun goes down at Broadway Siding
2. Moving back to the former Santa Fe shop area just south of Albuquerque station, we begin the night shots/ 3. What is a Pete Lerro photo shoot without his great lighting crew. We were able to stage a number of views over several nights.
