Tri-Rail Service Resumes Following Hurricane Wilma

Tri-Rail trains resumed service on Friday morning on a Saturday schedule, with a two-hour delay between trains.

Still, things were not quite back to normal. Seven stations don't have power and must rely on backup generators.

"There are power outages and debris everywhere," said Bonnie Arnold, spokeswoman for the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority. "Some of the stations are likely to be pretty dark, even with the generators."

Officials expect Tri-Rail to return to a regular weekday schedule on Monday. Tri-Rail has been out of service since Hurricane Wilma struck southern Florida last month.
