Anacostia Rail Holdings, Inc. and its railroad affiliates have joined the Association of American Railroads (AAR).
The AAR is the primary trade association for the major Class 1 railroads in the North America . Its membership also includes a number of the leading short line and regional railroad holding companies.
Anacostia's rail affiliates operate 610 route miles of line in seven states and include:
*The Chicago SouthShore & South Bend Railroad (CSS), which operates between Chicago , Ill. and South Bend , Ind.;
*The Louisville & Indiana Railroad (LIRC), which operates between Indianapolis , Ind. and Louisville , Ky.;
*The New York & Atlantic Railway (NYA), which has an exclusive franchise to operate freight service on the Long Island Rail Road network in Long Island , N.Y.;
*Northern Lines Railway, LLC (NLR); which operates between St. Cloud and Cold Spring , Minn.;
*Pacific Harbor Line, Inc. (PHL), which operates trackage in the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles , Calif.
