VIA Rail Reports Normalcy Amid CN Strike

As the strike at Canadian National enters its third week, Canada's national rail passenger service VIA Rail Canada would like to remind travellers that its trains continue to operate normally across the national system.

While VIA Rail contracts with CN for the right to operate its trains on CN rail lines, all VIA train operations, station and on-board services are the responsibility of VIA's own employees, who are not affected by the labor situation at CN.

VIA, the national passenger rail service, connects some 450 communities from coast to coast.
