Amtrak will commence a major Maintenance of Way project on the Northeast Corridor between Perryville, MD and Newark, DE.

The maintenance project is set to begin March 18, 2004 and continue through April 18, 2004. This will severely restrict the movement of NS trains through this corridor. NS has informed customers with traffic moving through this area that they can expect delays during this period. Excessive height equipment (exceeding 17'00") will be even further delayed due to additional restrictions for this type equipment.

There will be a complete outage for excessive height equipment during the weekends of March 19 through 21, 2004 and April 16 through 18, 2004. Excessive height equipment (exceeding 17'00") will be held and staged at Enola, PA from 22:00 EDT Friday to 07:00 EDT Monday during these respective outages.
