Strong interest in SP passenger services and equipment from the mid-1930s through 1971. Grew up along the Shasta Route tracks in Davis, Calif. SP steam, the Shasta Daylight, Cascade, and Klamath were daily sights. Also interested in NWP steam and electric interurban operations. Oh, and steam-powered ferries and ocean liners, theatres and theatre organs. Long-distance touring cyclist (not steam-powered!). Living in Davis, but, unfortunately, not close to the tracks. |
