I passed it yesterday. They ran it south against the flow of traffic out of NLR. It was restricted to 40 mph because they didnt want the tarp to blow off.

Interesting, a quick check this morning doesn't show a renumbering having taken place yet, i.e., UP 4141 is still listed as an SD70M, not an SD70ace.

The movement is showing as UP 8423, obviously, and 8423 still shows up as an active SD70ace.

I didn't say a renumbering couldn't take place, in fact it may very well, once the unit is in place and un-tarped.

In fact, the current SD70M UP 4141 shows up as being at Proviso.....

You can renumber locos in the UP mainframe in a matter of seconds with just a few keystrokes...granted, of course, the actual patching/decal application takes a little more time.

If you notice that the tarp still shows it as UP 8423, they won't make the number change official until the tarp comes off. I also bet that it is (will be) #41 and not #4141 as it'd be more work than it is worth to get rid of the SD70M #4141.

Interesting light yellow plow and light yellow front portion of the fuel tank. It also appeared that the front of the loco was either silver or grey from the photo. This should be an interesting paint scheme.

Maybe they'll forget about the 40MPH speed restriction and the tarp will blow off! ;)

That yellow is probably just a plastic sheeting to keep rocks from chipping the new paint.
