Western Railroad Discussion > Heads up DenverDate: 10/12/05 06:42 Heads up Denver Author: Grande-Fan Just saw at least three maybe four New Image BNSF ES44AC's on a empty UFIX coaltrain
on the cam at Mounment, Co. Three on the point and one in rear DPU. Nathan Z. Date: 10/12/05 07:58 Re: Heads up Denver Author: Grande-Fan This train is followed by a 9-unit Light engine move.
Lead unit was another ES44AC, other power were 8 SD70MAC's. Nathan Z. Date: 10/12/05 08:38 Re: Heads up Denver Author: skyview A big thanks to Nathan Z. First train, 2 new schemes on point with 1 on rear, as seen just south of Castle Rock, CO at 819am, Oct 12, 2005. Unlike yesterday, the weather gods favored me, and provided sunny conditions just as the train came through.

Thanks for posting! Nathan Z. Date: 10/12/05 12:59 Re: Heads up Denver Author: RioGrandeFan I saw the train this morning around 10am parked near the Pepsi Center. Train was there until about 1pm when it slowly made it into the yard. I missed the head end but saw the 5804 on the rear.
Rio Grande Fan Denver, CO Date: 10/12/05 13:53 2 Out Of 3 Ain't Bad! Author: PZRMN Two of the three lead units were new ES44AC's.
Here they are sitting and idling in front of the million dollor + grain elevator lofts. PZ Date: 10/12/05 14:03 Re: 2 Out Of 3 Ain't Bad! Author: skyview Nice angle, what lens did you use?
Date: 10/12/05 14:16 Re: 2 Out Of 3 Ain't Bad! Author: PZRMN This was from my Nikon Coolpix 8700, the lens is something like 35-280mm and I think this was somewhere around a 55mm.

Snow was gone before the storm even moved out of the area. Seems like everyone around Denver got the snow except us.
