Not up to the usual standards for outside of sunny SoCal, but not bad for Cajon! But all gone by about 1:00 PM.

Nice Pics! Looks like 1-2" max up there Sunday morning. At least it made it down to Hill 582 and beyond. Thanks for sharing, some of us have to work on Sundays, although working at a Hobby Shop is hardly 'work'.

The big problem was that there was a problem east of summit and nothing was moving.

In pacificeclectic's photo "PICT5035-01.jpg", the train is the foreground is stopped (or about) and would hold in the big cut for more than an hour. The BNSF train with the NS unit will stop behind it. While the other train a UP westbound will be the last westbound moving for a while. By the time things got moving, the snow was gone leaving just good old Cajon mud.

Traffic was good, though. Westbound, there was a grain train in the siding at summit. A general freight on the South track and a stack train behind that. There was a UP general freight at Lugo and another BNSF stack train behind that.

Eastbound, there was a BNSF stack train behind the one in the picture, another a Cajon, another in Blue Cut, and a fourth at Old Keenbrook. A UP stack was stopped at new Keenbrook, while two BNSF stack trains were stopped at Devore. A BNSF bare table was stopped at Verdemont and a UP stack train was stopped at Ono.

When I went up, the snow was just a bit higher than Hwy 138, so there was some in the Mormon Rocks, and you reached it fairly quickly as you headed up 138. And as noted, after some activity early to mid-morning (in just poor picture weather: cold, sleety snow, low clouds) the weather began to clear but the action stopped, trains semed to be stacking up both directions at Summit and then everything sat for quite a while. Lots of interesting power all day, a number of NS units, CN was represented, Conrail (patched), CEFX and some other lease units, a fast moving 10 unit power move, etc.
