Speed from the Heartland...

1) An eastbound Metra dinkie pulls into the Westmont depot in the 'burbs of Chicago.

2) A stack train splits XL Avenue near Ames, IA.

3) Two manifests meet in dismal conditions near the Clear Creek crossovers on the UP E/W main in central Iowa.

5) Pan of a passing freight car near Bertram, IA.

Very nice shots. I particularly liked the first one on the BNSF racetrack at Westmont. By the way, "proper" traditional terminology on BNSF is "Dinkies". "Scoots" run over on those UP former C&NW lines. Maybe that term was used on some of the other lines as well, or maybe some on BNSF have started to call them scoots in recent years.
