Howdy y'all -

Just caught an interesting commercial for the "Do It Yourself Network", on HGTV.

Shows a guy, with camera, and a look of anxiety and/or frustration, living in a loft, supposedly living above a double track main line. The sound of an approaching train comes into the background, and then, shifting scenes, comes a view of a NS SD-9, flying solo (with a teenie bit of 567 sounds), on a freight. The guy misses getting the shot, so he logs onto the "DIY Network" website, and searches for and finds a category "Action Photography".

He apparently finds what he is looking for; the next scene shows him trackside (at a safe distance), with camera pointed towards the tracks. A second later, without changing scenes, a NS freight with two HH units, moves past him, at about 30+ M.P.H., and the scene ends with the photog, smile on face, as freight cars roll by.

boy, is it elementary (the site)! But it might make a good reference for someone just getting started, like 20 seconds or less experience...

would love to see the commercial however.

They have quite a bit on Model Railroading too.
