Track Side Oddities...Where is it?
Author: jmw

Here are a couple "oddities" seen from passing trains. The location of the first one is fairly easy, the second one maybe not.

JMW - regarding your first picture, I don't understand why people feel it's necessary to trash the natural environment with crap like that. To me it's worse than graffiti on structures and cars.

Jim was dead on in regard to the skull rock location - "Peidmont on the BNSF Phx (Peavine) line along Date Creek Rd."

The second photo shows a small "stone face" boulder that rests along the Alaska RR's line just north a few miles from Denali. A crew member pointed it out to me during my June 2007 trip up that way. I thought it was interesting and something for others to look for on their trips to Alaska.
