Western Railroad Discussion > Incident at MP 134 Roseville Sub

Any body know what happened Wednesday? Around Applegate CA on Roseville Sub. DS said there were police. 10 mph. Later told No 5 to stop and ask authorities if train could go through. No. 5 said UP police were there and the incident was at MP 134.

I saw two fire trucks and Placer County Sheriff on eastbound lane shoulder of I-80 before Applegate off ramp. Firemen were on short slope overlooking track
below. By now they had finished what ever they were doing.

I drove around but couldn't find anything other than the emergency vehicles.

It had been going on since 3:30 or earlier when I passed by. I couldn't figure out what was going on either. My mom spotted a WB passing by that very spot at 2:30 so something must have been happened with that train.
