Western Railroad Discussion > KCS Holiday Express in East TexasDate: 12/04/08 15:42 KCS Holiday Express in East Texas Author: nomosantafe On Wednesday, Kansas City Southern ran their Holiday express train from Wylie, Texas to Sulphur Springs, Texas. The train was parked next to a city park in Sulphur Springs and open to the public for a visit with Santa Claus.
See link for information about the Holiday Express http://www.kcsouthern.com/en-us/GeneralPublic/Pages/HolidayExpress.aspx I left just as the train was opened to the public at 4 pm and there was already a block long line of people waiting to board and visit with Santa. It was sure nice to see the KCS provide this train to celebrate the holiday season. Thank you Mr. Haverty and all the KCS people that have worked to make this happen! Here are some pictures from yesterday. Enjoy! be one in downtown Lewisville until it burned to the ground a couple years ago. Fire sprinklers would have help that one. F units and East Texas - it doesn't get much better than that. Date: 12/04/08 21:00 Re: KCS Holiday Express in East Texas part 6 Author: GRNDMND ArgyleEagle Wrote:

Mr Plummer was a well known railfan of the 50's and 60's era who took a lot of pictures that have been published in books and in TRAINS. RS Plummer was from Sulphur Springs. Thanks for covering this event and posting these fine images for us to see nomosantafe.
