According to news reports, there was a derailment in Spokane.

It's a little west, just past Fairchild AFB out on the flats. I suppose for news purposes, in Western Washington, everything east of the mountains is Spokane...!

Derailment is at Edwall, west of Spokane on the line to Stevens Pass. It won't affect trains going via Pasco. Sounds like cars are detouring 1/4 mile west at the other crossing in town, hardly a detour really. Here is the same crossing that got torn up. Both crossings are in the middle of Edwall siding, and get blocked when trains meet there.

Happened at Edwall, M-SPOEVE derailed coming out of the siding with about a 1000 feet of track torn up is what I hear from BNSF friends
