Western Railroad Discussion > A Kodachrome Where-iz-it?Date: 04/12/03 19:01 A Kodachrome Where-iz-it? Author: RioGrande3001 An SD45-2 #5824 heads up a Santa Fe manifest somewhere in the state of Arizona. Where is this train located? What is the train direction? This quiz really shouldn't be too difficult!
To my surprise, a wide-vision caboose graced the tail end of this train. Why on earth did the Santa Fe choose such high road numbers for their cabooses? The caboose is #999710...huh? James Belmont Date: 04/12/03 19:04 Re: A Kodachrome Where-iz-it? Author: john1082 As far as I know, all ATSF cabooses were numbered 999###. This car is still working and graces the end of the short freight train that works the Santa Ana / Tustin area.
