Western Railroad Discussion > Oddities Round the Old Roundhouse

There isn't to much left of the Rock Island roundhouse in Limon. Rubble piles, pits and foundations for the other buildings. These two quirky pieces of rail still hanging out inside the wye. Have no idea what their purpose could of been. Awfully big pet tie out. Any ideas.... or?

The one in concrete looks like a sign post. You use what you have on hand.
The other looks like part of a gate, or a hose hanger??
Just a guess on my part.
