Can anyone give me a description of the Longview Switching Company in Washington? I see that it is part of the BNSF System and would like to know more about their operations.

Thanks!

Aj

UP and BNSF owned joint facility. Switch Longview customers and make up north and southbound locals for UP and BNSF

Often use a BNSF and UP switcher in tandem to work the yard.

Usually 2 sets of yard switchers. 1 UP and 1 BNSF unit in each set, usually GP38-2's. They switch out the yard, interchange, build up the locals, interchange with Port Docks, Longview Fiber, and interchange with CLC among other duties.
